Drop-off Area and Parking

There is a drop off area at the front entrance of the Museum off Mississippi Street. This is a five-minute load/unload zone and vehicles may not be left unattended. Accessible parking is available across the street from the Museum in the Mississippi Street Garage next to the Kansas Union at an hourly rate. Visit the KU Parking page for more information on accessible visitor parking options.

Wheelchairs and Seating

The Museum is accessible to wheelchair users and visitors who need to avoid using stairs. A limited number of wheelchairs are available to borrow at the Welcome Desk. Seating for wheelchairs at programs and events may be reserved in advance. Chairs and stools are available for use in the galleries.

Assistive Listening Devices

The Museum’s Central Court offers audio induction loop technology for programs in the Central Court. Visitors using T-coil or telecoil hearing aids or cochlear implants can access this system. Visitors with other hearing devices may request a headset at the Welcome Desk to access the system.

Service Animals

Certified service animals are welcome in the Museum, but must remain on leash.
